PTAP exists to increase
contracting activity between small businesses, prime government contractors
and the government.
PTAP's mission is:
- To generate employment
and improve the general economy of a locality by assisting business
firms in obtaining and performing under DoD, other federal agencies,
and state and local government contracts;
- To expand the
industrial base of the DoD and other federal agencies; to provide
a link between the federal government, major prime contractors, and
small businesses;
- To provide technical
assistance to small businesses interested in federal, state and local
government contracting;
- To apply George Mason University resources to improve the business climate and economic development in local communities.
